The regular buses of Crete are run by the national company KTEL.
The buses are fast, save and mostly air-conditioned. Smoking is - of course -
forbidden in the bus - this does not apply to the bus driver!

In the buses there is a conductor, who sells after departure the tickets.
In Heraklion or Mires you can buy your tickets at the bus station. Large luggages
will be stowed in the boot, smaller bags etc. can be carried into the bus.
